primary research

Primary Research is original research to obtain new information using such techniques as interviews, questionnaires, surveys, or Vox pops.  Alot of people in the media industry use this method of research for example, journalists when they're interviewing people for a magazine or newspaper. An advantage of primary research is you can research exactly what you want,  and don't have to rely on other peoples sources, also  The research will be accurate for the current time / place / situation you are studying. a disadvantage of primary research is that it can be a lot harder and more time consuming to conduct.
